Blox Fruits Permanent vs Regular Fruit Values — What's the Difference?

Published: May 15, 2026 | By: BloxCalc Editorial Team

If you are active in the Blox Fruits trading economy, you have likely noticed that players treat **Permanent Fruits** completely differently than standard physical fruits. A permanent version of a fruit can trade for multiple high-value physical mythicals or premium gamepasses. In this article, we explain the key differences between permanent and physical fruits and provide points calculations to help you manage your next trade.

What Are Regular (Physical) Fruits?

Regular fruits (often referred to as physical fruits) are items that you find spawned in the game world, roll from the Blox Fruits Gacha, or receive in trades. They are stored in your inventory treasure chests. When you consume a physical fruit, its powers become active. However, if you eat a different fruit later or die while the fruit is not stored, the original physical fruit is lost forever. To get those powers back, you must obtain and consume another physical version.

What Are Permanent Fruits in Blox Fruits?

Permanent fruits (commonly called **perms**) are premium items purchased with Robux (Roblox currency) from the in-game Shop. Once you buy or redeem a permanent fruit, it is permanently unlocked on your account. You can visit the Blox Fruit Dealer NPC at any time and equip that fruit for free, even if you currently have a different fruit active. This convenience makes permanent fruits incredibly powerful and convenient.

Why Are Perms Worth More Than Regular Fruits?

There are three main reasons why permanent fruits command supreme trading point values:

How Much More Is a Perm Worth?

As a general rule of thumb, a permanent version of a fruit is valued at approximately **2.5 to 3 times** the point value of the corresponding regular physical version. For example:

Always toggle the "Calculate Permanent Values" checkbox on our Value List page to view the exact points difference.

Should You Trade a Perm or Regular Fruit?

If you are a free-to-play player, you will rarely hold permanent fruits unless you trade up your physical mythical stash. If you manage to accumulate S-tier mythicals (like Dragon and Kitsune), trading them for a permanent utility fruit (like permanent Buddha or permanent Portal) is a highly recommended long-term investment. Buddha makes grinding levels effortless, and Portal allows you to teleport around the seas instantly.

Best Permanent Fruits to Hold or Trade

The most demanded permanent fruits are:

  1. Permanent Buddha: Uncontested king for grinding levels and mastering fighting styles.
  2. Permanent Portal: Essential for PvP players who need to teleport around islands instantly.
  3. Permanent Dough: Highly sought after by competitive PvP players who love long stuns.
  4. Permanent Dragon / Kitsune: Premium S-tier choices that hold massive prestige value.

How to Calculate Perm vs Regular Value Using the Calculator

When you are setting up a trade involving a permanent fruit, open our W/F/L Trade Calculator. Add the fruit to your slot. Click the **"Make Permanent"** button on the slot card. The calculator will automatically apply the perm point multiplier. If you don't toggle this button, the calculator will treat the item as a regular physical fruit, causing your trade point totals to be completely incorrect.

Common Mistakes When Trading Perms

The biggest mistake is falling for **"trust trades"**. Scammers will put a cheap physical fruit in the slot and promise to gift you a permanent mythical fruit from the shop after the trade completes. Roblox trading tables are secure. If a permanent fruit is not actively sitting inside one of the 4 slots with the yellow "Permanent" text, do **not** accept the trade. You will get scammed. Another error is overpaying for low-tier permanent fruits. A permanent Rocket or Spin fruit has very little utility, so don't give away high-value physical legendaries to get them.
